European Fusion Stakeholder Platform
Building a European Fusion Stakeholder Platform
The successful commercialization of fusion energy requires a well-structured and collaborative
ecosystem that brings together key players from industry, research, policy and finance.
To drive this process forward, the GO4FUSION partners will use the initial phase of the project to
establish a dedicated European Fusion Stakeholder Platform (EFSP) designed to unite diverse
expertise, foster innovation, and align efforts with European energy and industrial policies. It
will include representatives from the fusion industry, startups, academia, research centers and
regulatory bodies.
The EFSP will play a crucial role in promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated
actions to advance fusion energy in Europe. Additionally, it will help shape the Strategic Research
& Innovation Agenda, a key outcome of the project.
Key Actions for a Collaborative Fusion Future
To achieve its objectives, the platform will focus on several key requirements and expects active engagement from all organizations joining the platform:
-
Helping shape sectoral priorities and identifying critical gaps and needs (consolidation of a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda - SRIA), which will inform the definition of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) calls for project proposals.
-
Contributing to the co-design of the future PPP alongside key fusion stakeholders.
-
Unlocking new funding opportunities for innovative collaborative initiatives.
-
Strengthening knowledge intelligence to enhance the competitiveness of the European fusion, industry.
